Monthly summary
Last updated
On the first of every month, Hetscale mails a monthly summary of the month before: how your node groups scaled and healed, how long they were short of capacity, how fast new servers took traffic and what the servers Hetscale added cost. Every plan gets it.
When does it arrive, and to whom?
At 06:00 UTC on the 1st, every organisation that had a node group Live during the previous month gets one mail about that month. Each member gets it in their own language. The month is counted in UTC.
What does it count?
For a node group:
- Scale-outs, with the servers they added, whoever raised the capacity: the scaling policy, a schedule, a member’s Set the server count or a raised minimum.
- Scale-ins and Healings.
- Short of capacity: the time the group was short of capacity (A node group is servers short).
- Scale-in waited for stock: how long a scale-in waited while Keep servers while ‹type› is out of stock kept a server (Can a scale-in wait while my type is out of stock?).
- Time to Capacity at the median and at P95, counted as the group’s Capacity & cost page counts it (How fast is a scale-out).
- Autoscaling cost: what the servers Hetscale added cost at Hetzner’s list prices, never your Hetzner invoice.
- Servers in service: the most at once and the average over the month, the seed and your own servers included.
There is no savings figure: Hetscale knows what it added, not what you would have run without it.
Does my plan change it?
Starter and Growth read all their node groups together. Pro and Team read one section per node group, each with a link to its Capacity & cost page.
A month in which no node group scaled, healed, ran short of capacity or held a scale-in for stock is a one-line mail.
Can I turn it off?
Not yet: there is no switch to stop it.
